2007 Great Lakes Summer Student Fellowship ProgramThe National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's (NOAA), Great Lakes Environmental Research Laboratory (GLERL), and the Cooperative Institute for Limnology and Ecosystems Research (CILER), part of the University of Michigan, announce their 2007 Great Lakes Summer Student Fellowship Program.
We seek to fill twenty-three (23) full-time, twelve-week positions. Preference is given to currently enrolled or just-graduated undergraduates, although graduate student applications will also be considered. Summer fellowships are available in a broad range of fields including Aquatic Ecology, Computer Programming, Maritime Archeology, Satellite Data Processing, and Communications/ Outreach. Most fellows will be located at the Great Lakes Environmental Research Laboratory in Ann Arbor, Michigan as guest students of the University of Michigan; a few fellows will be located at other sites, including Muskegon, MI, Milwaukee, WI, and Alpena, MI.
Successful applicants will receive a stipend of $5,000 for the twelve-week fellowship. The application deadline for this opportunity is 23-February, 2007.
